Obama = Blair (only less talented)

Reason TV smashes Barack Obama over his disgusting hypocrisy in seeking to destroy the Washington DC voucher programme.

Of course this is no surprise to anyone who recognises Obama as a less talented version of Tony Blair. It mirrors almost perfectly Blair’s abolition of the Assisted Places Scheme upon his ascension to power. The Assisted Places scheme helped children escape from poor public education by subsidising places in private schools for talented children from poorer families.

It saved the state money (when compared with the cost of educating the children in public schools), it helped augment diversity in the education sector by increasing demand for independent providers, and it was better for the kids themselves. Labour scrapped it because they did not want people to opt out of the state monopoly (except possibly themselves and their own children). Obama is doing exactly the same thing with the DC voucher scheme.

To all the soi-disant “Conservatives” who said they would have backed Obama in the US election had they had a vote: do you feel a bit daft now? Might I suggest you stand infront of a mirror before you go to bed and repeat 3 times “I was a foolish prat” to yourself while looking yourself straight in the eye.
